At Goldschmidt Australia, we have qualified and certified teams that can conduct profile or contact-band grinding on standard, wide and narrow gauges throughout the country.

Grinding services with our RailShape Eco is perfect for removing metal flow, ensuring correct gauge tolerances and profiling gauge corners in turnouts, level crossings, and straight tracks. It provides high flexibility, allowing the machine to quickly get on and off track using a Hi-Ab or excavator at a level crossing, or on the road when grinding embedded track.

Alternatively, the RailShape Pro is designed for grinding entire profiles, whether it's through turnouts with fixed nose crossings, swing nose crossings, level crossings, or plain lines. It can be brought to track at level crossings, on embedded track, via a Hi-Ab or excavator. Additionally, the RailShape Pro is used for descaling rusted/corroded rails and applying a contact band that assists signalling teams in quickly handing back the track after new rail installation.

Each team is well equipped with a truck that is equipped with a 9-ton Hi-Ab, a toolbox containing all necessary consumables, and a fixed 800-litre water tank for potential firefighting. Goldschmidt Australia can provide protection when accessing tracks if needed. Alternatively, teams can work under the protection arrangements provided by the customers.
